STONE WALL

Stone Wall

I meander in the meadow
I walk down the lane
Everything so different
Yet it is the same
My soul is insulted
My heart, broken beats
Building tall
The big stone wall
Along the dark cold streets

LATE OF NIGHT

Late Of Night

In the late of night
Curiosities arise to one's mind
Unseen mystic
Unknown sound
Overwhelming
And profound
Creatures scamper
Spirits sing
Brush upon
The dark bat wing
In the late of night
Curiosities arise to one's mind

A TREE AM I

A Tree Am I

A tree
Am I
Strong and tall
I stand

A tree
Am I
My foliage
thick and grand

My fearless
Branches
Reach for
The Sky
A tree
Am I

WHISPERS

Whispers

I step out into the cool night air
I find some comfort there
The willow weeps
The shadows creep
Along the darkened stair
The darkness urges whispers
Gentle under tones
The haunted Oak
And the wild flowers spoke
To nightingale in flight
I yearn to know their secrets
Their unheard memories
They have no care
That I sit there
Whispers of the Trees

WEARY TRAVELER

Weary Traveler

Come, I say
Quench your thirst
My well
Your fountain be
Your journey, long
Sing your song
Of Love and Charity

Come, I say
Rest your eyes
My quilt
I give to thee
Then waken strong
To undo wrong
With open clarity

FIELD DANCERS

FIELD DANCERS

Early this morn
Grass wet with dew
I drove down
A country road
As I sometimes do

There I saw
Them playing
With cloven hoof
They danced
Mother doe
And her two fawns
In barren field
They pranced

I didn't
Want to
Scare them
I so enjoyed
Their play
But off into
The woods
They ran
And I
Went on
My way

SUNSHINE KISSED

Sunshine Kissed

Sunshine kissed
Hugged by
A gentle breeze
A blossomed
Tree
Adores me

RESCUE ME

Rescue Me

I walk the proverbial
Staircase
I cling to
Proverbial walls
I walk in
Proverbial darkness
I hang in
Shadowless halls

I wander through life
Disenchanted
Hueless colors I see

A proverbial
Dark cloud
Always above
Somebody rescue me

HEART OF WOE

HEART OF WOE

Hear the wind call my name
Asking if I'll love again
Look into the shadows
Loneliness lives there
Desperation, heartache
Sorrow and despair
A heart of woe
Filled with pain
I know I'll never
Love again

HAVISHAM

Havisham

What now I cry
Here I lie
Miss Havisham of sorrow
The pendulum swings
And the clock tic toc
The sun shall
Rise tomorrow
